Payment gateway requirements
A payment gateway (Stripe, PayPal, etc.) must be active in WooCommerce → Settings → Payments for paid consultations. This matters more than it looks: exam invites fire on payment confirmation, so without a working gateway the consultation never sends — see Exam invite not sending.
Planning to sell Rx consultations? Don't use WooPaymentsPrescription products are against WooPayments' terms of service. Choose a gateway that supports telehealth businesses instead — see the note on processor policies below.
Free consultations work without a gateway, but must be imported as "Free Instant Checkout" items — a $0 paid product won't trigger the invite.
Choosing a processor? Telehealth is a regulated industry — see Stripe or your payment processor flagged your store.
